Thank you to everyone for your questions. It was a blast. Check out our new album out tomorrow!
I know this might be not the most appropriate place to post this, but I worked out today that Dance of Eternity (by Dream Theatre) has 108 time signature changes overall, and the song is 6 minutes 13 seconds long, so on average the song changes time signature around every 3.4 seconds. The amount of skill this kind of shit takes to keep in time when you're constantly changing time signatures with the rest of the band (especially the drummer) is just nutty. Mike Portnoy is a fucking drumming god. (link for those who want it: https://youtu.be/FwkcRTNMsWs (mike showing the time signature changes) https://youtu.be/8Ik9qECIWgc (complete song))
